A summer visit to Historic Downtown Millersburg is reminiscent of simpler days in America. The annual Thunder Over Holmes County, for example, is an exciting, old-fashioned Fourth of July celebration.

The popular festival, which takes place each year around the Fourth of July, will include a pie-eating contest, a lot of old-fashioned games, and plenty of free activities for the kids.

Meanwhile, the event promises plenty to do for children — like bounce houses, slides, face painting, and other activities on the courthouse lawn.

And it’s all free.

Along with the kids’ activities, Thunder Over Holmes County will feature music, food, and fun, from noon until the fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m.

You needn’t hail from Holmes County to be a part of the celebration. Visitors love to come downtown to visit the unique shops, relax and enjoy a fun and patriotic celebration of America.
